Compiled began with a question put to more than fifty security and compliance leaders — across global banks, hospitals, and fast-moving startups: where are you most exposed, and why can't today's tools close it?

The same answer came back. They could write any rule and buy any AI tool — and still only inspect a fraction of what mattered, after it had already happened, while their data sat in someone else's cloud. And now autonomous AI agents were acting faster than anyone could watch.

The gap wasn't a missing feature. It was the architecture. Compiled was built to close it: a behavioral immune system that inspects everything, in real time, inside your own walls — and gets sharper every day.

The team

Built by people who understand the problem deeply.

Compiled is a company of mathematicians, security engineers, and compliance practitioners. The founding research drew on deep expertise in high-dimensional statistical learning, enterprise security architecture, and the regulatory obligations that govern financial services and healthcare. That combination — rigorous mathematics plus hard-won operational knowledge of what actually runs in regulated environments — is what makes the product possible.

Mathematics and detection research

The core detection engine is the product of applied mathematics: high-dimensional geometry, statistical calibration, and rigorous evaluation methodology. Detectors are validated against held-out data and hard negative tests before any library update ships.

Security engineering

Every architectural choice — in-tenant deployment, zero data egress, signed-update supply chain, JIT access — was made by engineers who have built and run security infrastructure inside regulated enterprises. The posture is structural, not rhetorical.

Compliance and regulatory depth

The team includes practitioners who have worked inside the compliance and surveillance obligations Compiled addresses: off-channel enforcement under SEC / FINRA, MiFID II market-abuse obligations, HIPAA safeguards, and the emerging AI governance frameworks. We understand what the examiner actually asks for.

Leadership and backing

We share detailed founder and leadership bios, advisor profiles, and backing information with prospective design partners and enterprise evaluators as part of a vendor review. We do not publish them on the public site.

Research Engineer — Behavioral Geometry

Remote (global) · Research

Turn a described behavior into a precise, efficient recognizer. You will work where high-dimensional geometry, statistical learning, and production systems meet.

What you’ll work on
  • Develop and validate methods that separate genuine risk from innocent look-alikes in very high-dimensional spaces.
  • Drive detection quality and calibration — holding false positives down as coverage scales to everything.
  • Ship research into a system that runs in real time, inside customers’ own environments.
What you bring
  • Deep grounding in linear algebra, high-dimensional geometry, and statistical learning theory.
  • Fluency with numerical optimization and rigorous, honest empirical evaluation.

Make detection provably trustworthy. You will design the statistical machinery behind every allow, flag, or block — and prove it holds at scale.

What you’ll work on
  • Design calibration and aggregation methods that keep system-level error rates controlled as the library grows.
  • Build the evaluation frameworks that gate every change, so no regression ever ships.
  • Quantify and bound uncertainty so that every verdict is defensible to a regulator.

  • Strong probability, statistics, and measure theory; comfort with optimization and information theory.
  • A record of turning theory into dependable, tested systems.
